Semantic MediaWiki

Among the many wiki projects of the Wikipedia constellation, one of them deserves a special mention (not that the other ones aren't noteworthy!): the Semantic MediaWiki. It runs over an extension of the MediaWiki-Software (which powers Wikipedia) with ideas from the Semantic Web. The wiki allows every user to make information more accessible to machines, which in turn makes it easier for humans to search or further use this information.
